About Peyton
Peyton Fisher is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher whose practice and teaching are rooted in the rich lineage of classical and contemporary yoga. His primary teacher is Maureen Bosker of Yoga in the Woods who has been a light in his life and he is forever grateful to her and her teachings. She had the honor of training with Beryl Bender, founder of The Hard & The Soft Yoga Retreats and Adventures—one of the most prestigious and comprehensive yoga schools in the United States, established in 1975 in Winter Park, Colorado.
Beryl Bender, internationally renowned yoga teacher and author, continues to inspire Peyton’s teaching through her emphasis on strength, mindfulness, and compassion in practice. Maureen's time spent with Kathy McNames of Ashtanga Yoga Vermont, and studies with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga Yoga, have had a profound effect on Peyton on and off the mat so that we are "doing our yoga all the time". In addition, Peyton has studied with respected modern teachers including Bryan Kest and David Swenson, whose influence continues to shape his approach to teaching and living yoga.
Drawing from this deep well of training, Peyton’s teaching style balances discipline and accessibility, offering students a space to explore the transformative power of yoga—physically, mentally, and spiritually. His classes are guided by a commitment to tradition while welcoming the needs of today’s students, fostering resilience, awareness, and compassion on and off the mat.
